I really hope Bill gets in touch soon...If he doesn't show up after the weekend I'm going to be really worried...

Don't worry Eden...Bill will be o.k.;It is Jewels that may have some problem here....
 

Jewels purposely taunts, provokes and pokes others because he gets a sexual charge out of being pushed, slammed, smacked, jacked up and beaten by those he pisses off.

His obnoxious behavior, once mildly amusing, has become intolerable to quite a few on the Avenue. He should keep his Sparks-fueled ass away from there, lest he piss off one person too many one night....

Wouldn't it be a good idea to stop photographing and describing the antics of Jewels? You are partly responsible for encouraging this drunken narcissist by giving him the exposure his sick mind clearly craves.
 

jewels would be acting the exact same way whether or not someone was taking his picture. i've seen him doing all the same crazy antics in the wee hours of the morning with no one around encouraging him. he needs NO encouragement. He is just like this all the time when he is wasted. Period.
 

No , it wouldn't be a good idea to stop photographing Jewels' antics . What you and many others don't understand is that Jewels is not doing what he does for the camera . He does what he does because of many other demons ( for want of a better word )that possess him . He is a drunk and an obnoxious one . He likes stirring things up ;its an emotional high that he needs .A good beating is just another high .

We can understand that you might not understand this because it is behavior that is so sick .We show some of it so that you can understand that this activity is in our midst . We believe that something should be done to end it .

If you take some time and think about this you will notice that most of what we present is not all that sensational : we have many more images that are that we choose not to show . We are simply drawing the public's attention to a serious problem ... Jewels .

We could just completly ignore all of Jewels' antics but that would not cause them to end . Jewels does what he does for the immediate effect , an emotional high that he enjoys and probably needs .there is a very serious problem here for Jewels and for the neighborhood . We believe that it should be brought to the public's attention .

If anything we probably pull our punches much too often with Jewels and others .Some actually complain that we don't show enough of the "good stuff" . that is not our purpose . We could give you a lot more full frontal exposures , defacations , beatings etc. but we don't because they are not necessary to our end .It is not all hugs-and-kisses out there in the streets of the East Village

We are reporting on a very sad ,troubling problem ,that is , Jewels and his behaviour . Biker Bill is right now in his room in very considerable pain unable to walk because of Jewels' behaviour on avenue A .

We are not responsible for Jewels' behavior ; he was not performing for the camera when Bill was hurt . We could have photographed all the ugliness that went along with Biker Bill's injury but we didn't .

We will continue to report on Jewels until the problem that he is , and all the others , ends .It is not likely that will happen soon .

I just heard that Biker Bill is back in the hospital..
 

Yes , Biker Bill was taken back to the hospital a day or two ago . We do not know why or how serious his condition is .

We do not know which hospital has admitted him .The hotel staff where Bill currently resides claimed that they were not at liberty to confirm or deny Bills reidency, current location or condition . We are currently attempting to determine which hospital has admitted him .

We assume that it is his hip injury and the pain associated with it that is the problem .
 

I feel bad for Ray that Jewels and all of these other obnoxious characters carry out their drama in front of his place of business. It really hurts Ray because so many of us just don't want to venture through the fray to get into the store. I want my Obama fries but I'm not going to risk getting into a skirmish to get them, so I limit my visits to the store to safer daytime hours.
 

Its probably a mistake to believe that things are all that much safer around Ray' in the daytime because it is simply not that unsafe for those not part of the fray at any time including at night . The ones that get hurt and the ones that do the damage all know each other . They are actually around all the time . They mostly harm those they know ; they harm each other . This is the way that most violent physical activity is most of the time . It may be loud , unseemly and appear more threatening at night but the odds for an alert uninvolved outsider on avenue A around Ray's are pretty much the same around the clock . This is not necessarily true though in other parts of the East Village .
 

So did someone really break Joel's jaw? That's not right. Bill slipped and fell. The fact that Joel was being a jackass at the time doesn't make it his fault. By the way, none of you guys really understand him at all. Not one bit. There's a lot of pain in that boy's life, and a lot of confusion. He never acted like this with me once, not once in all the time we hung out together, even though he was already banned from more than half the bars in New Brunswick for exactly this kind of behavior. That's where he's from, not the LES. Bobby Ebz went to live in TSP with Denise before he died, so that's where Joel went. I often thought he was just trying to live up to his father and Bobby, two of the worst role models in the world, and Bobby idolized GiGi Allin who people paid good money to watch him do far worse things than Joel ever did.
 

Tom or anyone else here - could anyone tell me more about the last days of Bobby Ebz? He was a childhood friend of mine, albeit a troubling and heartbreaking one. Thank you so much! j.
