Neither more nor less

Marlene , known for years by many on avenue A as "Hot Dog" , was out on the town on wheels , riding with John in his van . Marlene was out late and as one can see having a good time .

Today Marlene has temporary residency at BRC on the Bowery and is waiting for a permanent apartment of her own . One can often see her on avenue A "spanging "to have a little extra money .

Not much happens most of the time ; spanging is boring . But occasionally something special happens like the several nights around Halloween when she was able to wear costumes and make-up . Tonight was another something special , a ride around the East Village in a Dodge van .
