Neither more nor less

Wednesday afternoon plain clothes officers from the 9th precinct searched the persons and  possessions of 5 Crustys seated on a bench in Tompkins Square Park .We do not know the reason for the searches .None of the Crustys were taken into custody . The group of 5 was apparently told to leave the park .

We were recently informed by police sources that at least 5 Crustys have been arrested on assault charges so far this season.

We've run these images before , but that the day and time that they document not be forgotten we present them again.

We grabbed one blurred shot of Johnny as we walked in the door of Mars Bar Saturday night .Johnny had just started his performance and had a hammer and nails in one hand and a nail hammered up his nose .A crowd quickly surrounded Johnny so we could get no more pictures of him performing  . Later though , for a brief few seconds , the crowd parted affording a view of a grimacing woman in blue using 2 fingers to pull a nail out of Johnny's penis ... and then quickly toss it to the counter beneath the green cold-cathode light .

A while later we asked Johnny about his arrest the day before in Tompkins Square Park . Johnny said that he had spent 30 hours in the system and  after his release came to Mars Bar . He said that he had been charged with public urination . Johnny said that he knew that it was wrong to do what he did , he should not have pissed on that tree in Tompkins Square Park Friday afternoon.

Friday afternoon an NYPD team led by Deputy Inspector Lehr , commander of the 9th precinct , on routine patrol in Tompkins Square Park arrested Johnny Bizzare .We saw a mostly empty liquor bottle and heard police mention needles and public urination.
We last pictured Johnny here at NMNL with his tongue in a mousetrap .

Today it was Johnny's wrists that were restrained  in a set of regulation NYPD cuffs.
Police personnel also cautiously took possession of a hammer , the one that Johnny uses in his performances to hammer nails up his penis .
Sitting on a near-by blanket L.E.S Jewels sat canoodling with a new 19 year-old admirer.
Jewels had recently been a student of Johnny's, learning to stick nails up his penis .When we posted on Johnny last time ,Jewels had only been able to get the nails part way up his penis .  With this past claim in mind we asked Jewels if he had made any progress . According to Jewels Friday afternoon , no progress has been made , he can only get the nail part way up his penis .
